A host of Bollywood stars turned up for the annual Diwali mela organised by the Mumbai police recently. The Bachchans were there as well but were seen beating a hasty retreat once Shah Rukh Khan turned up with his Om Shanti Om colleagues Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal and Deepika Padukone.

The Bachchans, Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwariya, came in early and seated themselves in the front row. The family seemed to be enjoying the show immensely as they kept whispering and laughing all through the show. About 45 minutes into the show, there was a buzz in the hall as news filtered in that Shah Rukh had arrived with his Om Shanti Om co-stars? To everyone's surprise, as soon as Shah Rukh entered the venue, the Bachchans decided to make a quick exit. But the two parties did come face-to-face with each other. Amitabh and Shah Rukh are believed to have shared a very cold handshake. Aishwariya reportedly did not even greet Shah Rukh. The Bachchan's hasty exit came as a surprise to the organisers as well as the audience as the Bachchans were expected to go up on stage after a point. Of course, the point to ponder here is whether the Bachchans made an exit because they did not want to share the space with SRK or was it just a mere coincidence?
