Namitha is putting in some serious hard work for 1977, her film with Sarath Kumar.
Having moved from glamour roles and song-sequences, Namitha wants to put in the best of her efforts for the string of lead roles that she has been offered.
In 1977, Namitha's role is that of a charming lawyer. Each scene in the movie has to be delivered with pages and pages of dialogues. But Namitha is unruffled. She is memorising all the dialogues with a diligence and sincerity similar to a school girl, who is bound to give her exam.
The story of 1977 revolves around the life and adventures of a detective. Lawyer Namitha is detective Sarathkumar's pair in the movie.
Namitha can also be seen in significant lead roles in Vijay's Azhagiya Tamil Magan and Ajith's Billa 2007.
