New Delhi: The two big releases this Diwali weekend Om Shanti Om and Saawariya are fighting for their share of the big screen space in theatres across the country.Wednesday Nov 7 5:05 PM
Both films are receiving a good response on the advance booking counters in both multiplexes and single screen theatres.
Almost 52 screens across the capital are already fully booked for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Om Shanti Om while the response on advance bookings for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya is also reportedly equally good.
A single multiplex screen is estimated to rake in an average of Rs 25 lakh per day over the weekend for each of the two big releases.
This would mean that collections for both the films could easily cross the Rs 1-crore mark within the first weekend from a single city.
