Saawariya stars await viewer response with bated breath

Mumbai: Wednesday night saw Bollywood's big premiere. It was not a red but a blue carpet that was laid out for the stars of SaawariyaSanjay Leela Bhansali's big release this Diwali.

The celebrations were not restricted to only the Saawariya team but the rest of the film industry as well. Present there were Salman Khan, Rani Mukherji, and the lead pair Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor's parents. Aprt from them, Dilip Kumar, Yash Chopra, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan with new girlfriend Kareena Kapoor also turned up to wish the new kids on the Bollywood block all the best.

Actor, Akshay Kapoor said, “I am very excited to watch the movie. I am excited to watch Sonam and Ranbir.”

Dressed in a sari, Amisha Patel added, “They are both very lucky and they're both looking very good. The promos are looking very promising so I am sure it is going to be a delight”


Shahid Kapur also had best wishes for the newcomers. He said, “Wishing them all the best. It’s a huge day for them.”

The movie’s lead cast Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor appeared very excited but nervous as well.


Sonam Kapoor gushed, “This is a great way to start Diwali. I am very happy.”

Ranbir on the other hand, appeared calm and collected. He said, “It feels really good because we have worked really hard on this for the last two years. We have worked with a lot of dedication and I pray that people like this movie.”

The filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has left the fate of the movie to the audience.

Bhansali said, “We have done all what we can. Now it’s up to the audience and god's grace."

Well we’ll find out soon as the official verdict on exactly how the film fares with the viewers will be out this weekend.
