Actor Aamir Khan is throwing a party for the children of the NGO Pratham on November 14 to celebrate children's day in the run-up to the release of his film Taare Zameen Par.
The actor will be interacting with 50 kids from Pratham on November 14. These kids are rescued children, either child labourers or beggars. Now that the children have been rescued, they are doing well in education and other vocational activities. It is believed that Aamir will hire a hall in Bandra, have it decorated with balloons and distribute candies and chocolates to the children. He is planning on playing games with the children like carrom, in general have fun with the children. Apparently, a more elaborate event was being planned on a national level initially but due to Aamir's personal problems, the event was toned down. But the actor still intends to wish all children a happy children's day on that day on radio and TV. The film, Taare Zameen Par is extremely close to Aamir's heart. The actor felt very strongly that children and their issues are largely ignored. There are very few films that are made on children and their issues. Taare Zameen Par is Aamir's tribute to childhood. Aamir has made a special brochure for the film which he will be distributing on Children's Day. It is a notebook with children's crayon designs.
