It's 'Sarkailo Khatiya' days for Govinda once again. Apparently the 44-year-old actor is going back to the raunchy stuff with a vengeance ever since his virginal hero act clicked in the film Partner.
Accoprding to reports, the actor will play the lead role in the remake of the Hollywood film, 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' to be produced by Anuj Sharma and directed by Jagmohan Mundhra. The director who has often aspired to hit Bollywood mainstream will get a chance to do a David Dhawan. Apparently his name was suggested by Govinda who feels that the director has an equity overseas. After the success of Partner, Govinda is very keen to make an impact in the overseas market. Like the Khans, he too wants to build a NRI base for himself. It is believed that Govinda met Mundhra when he was in London shooting for Ravi Chopra's Pappu Pass Ho Gaya. The idea of remaking a film revolving around a 40-year-old virgin, who gets into a relationship with a single mother of three, with a no-sex pact seems to have appealed to Mundhra instantly. The film is expected to start early next year. The search for the leading lady is currently on.
