We had told you last month about Pyramid Saimira procuring the Kerala-Tamil Nadu distribution rights of OM SHANTI OM, at the highest ever price for a Hindi film. We had added that they had plans of releasing it with a record number of 60-70 prints. Well, that is how it went, and Pyramid Saimira's decision proved to be right, as they have already made a neat little profit. The Chennai weekend run of their movie has managed an astonishing 96 percent occupancy, and with many new regional films to contend with.Apart from this, there is news that they have also managed to grab the distribution rights of one of the most awaited movies of the year, Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajay Devgan-Vidya Balan starrer, HALLA BOL. In fact, so confident are Pyramid Saimira about HALLA BOL that they have decided to release it against two mighty oppositions, Aamir Khan's TAARE ZAMEEN PAR and Akshay Kumar's WELCOME.
As per distribution sources, the three above mentioned movies are all set to release during the Christmas week, 21st December to be precise.
