Divya Spandana is enacting a career-defining role in the Malayalam film, Thaaramba, directed by Santosh Sivan. Divya plays the role of a sex-worker. The film, devoid of glamorous sequences, is aimed at creating awareness about AIDS. Prabhudeva is playing the role of a lorry driver.
Divya has charmed Tamil audiences through the hit Diwali release Pollaadhavan as Dhanush's pair.
Next she will be seen in Gautham Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram opposite Suriya. She is also working in a Kannada movie titled Mahenjamaaru.
