But now Vinayan seems to have broken the ice, well almost. This acclaimed Malayalam director with movies like Kasi, En Mana Vaanil and Arputha Theevu to his credit, has managed to cast Amitabh Bachchan in his next venture.

Vinayan, while speaking on this to our correspondent, said that he had the chance to meet Amitabh through director Ramanthan. The Big B had in fact agreed to listen to Vinayan’s story. The director is now busy finalizing the script for a movie with a role appropriate for the Big B.

Vinayan said that he would meet Amitabh next week and finalize the title and some of the finer details of the script. The Malayalam film industry had managed to rope in Hindi film stars like Juhi Chawla and Pooja Bhatra in the past, so chances are bright that we might finally get to see Bachchan mouthing dialogues in Malayalam.
