From Mani Ratnam and Balu Mahendra till 'Em Magan' Thirumurugan, successful directors have been the first spring hold by Sathyajothi Films.
They try to identify talented directors and give them an opportunity. This time, they have identified R Kannan, an assistant of Mani Ratnam, to direct their production 'Jayam Kondaan.'
The hero is Vinay of 'Unnale Unnale' fame. His heroines are Bhavana and Lekha Washington. Camera is by Balasubramaniam and music is by Vidyasagar.
The inauguration of the film took place this morning at AVM Studios with shooting. After the pooja, producer TG Thyagarajan introduced the artistes to the press.
Director R Kannan explained about the title 'Jayam Kondaan.'
"Three people journey through life with a particular aim in mind. A young man with no such aim interferes in their lives. One opposes him and achieves victory, so the film is titled 'Jayam Kondaan,'
The story has a mix of urban and rural elements. Vinay is a self centred young man, Bhavana is a brave village girl. Lekha has an important role. A railway station has an important character in the film," said Kannan.
