New Delhi: Actor Shah Rukh Khan has replied to the legal notice to him by the NOTE or the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication for allegedly smoking in public on two occasions.

Defending himself Shah Rukh has said that the cricket stadium where he was photographed smoking is a private club as it falls under the Cricket Club of India, moreover the actor noted that there wasn't a ‘No Smoking Zone’ specified in the area.

The actor added that the Hindustan Times Summit where the actor was seen smoking was also a private function.

In his reply SRK also threatened to file a defamation suite against NOTE for sending him the legal notice.

The NGO had in October issued a legal notice to the actor for lighting it in public on the dais at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit and in the VIP stands during the India-Australia T-20 match in Mumbai.
