Shah Rukh Khan has apologised to veteran actor Manoj Kumar a day after newspapers carried the report that the veteran was very upset at being caricatured in Om Shanti Om and was planning to sue Shah Rukh.

SRK called a press conference at his residence yesterday itself and director Farah Khan too was present on the occasion. The actor said that he had called up Manoj Kumar and apologised to him. He said that the senior actor had told him not to worry and had even invited him over for tea. The actor said that he would be going over on Saturday or Sunday to meet Manoj Kumar, who he said had also promised him some homeopathic medicine to help him kick his habit of smoking. SRK said that he did not mean to hurt anyone or show anyone in a negative light. Farah, who also spoke to Manoj Kumar, even offered to cut the scene from the film. But the actor asked her not to do it. The Khans have invited Manoj Kumar to a special screening of the film. The entire episode makes us wonder if Indians are ready for spoofs.
