The hit musical trio of Bollywood came together for a show in aid of Shakti Foundation on November 17th at the Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai. Right from the word 'Go', the night was filled with lots of foot-tapping, rocking numbers. The three belted out all their Hindi superhits which included their first hit, 'Dil Chahta Hai', followed by 'Pretty Woman', 'Kal Ho Na Ho', 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' and of course 'Kajra Re' from Bunty Aur Babli. Shankar with his amazing vocals, had lots of support from Ehsaan, who was electrifying on the guitar and Loy, who made magic on the keyboard. Besides Shankar, another singer Aakruti also sang some popular numbers. The show was also graced by the children's band of Shakti Foundation, who played along with the orchestra. Adhitya, another member of the foundation, sang a Tamil song. For every song, the audience was on their feet and even made it up to the stage to dance to the tunes. Beside Hindi, Shankar also sang some of his Tamil hits. The entire evening was a very memorable experience, and that too for a very noble cause. The proceeds of the concert are to be used to buy medical equipment for the underprivileged.
