A film festival for short and documentary films was held in Melbourne, Australia in which many countries participated.
Sudandiram was the Tamil film which participated along with 130 other films. From among these 130 films, ten were chosen and much to the pride of every Tamilian, Sudandiram has bagged the first prize.
This film has been produced by V T Dharmarajan and directed by Roopan who was trained under S A Chandrashekar.
The film showcases the life of an old woman who was free in her village and comes to spend some time with her son in the city. Stifled by the city’s hustle-bustle, she returns to her village and breathes fresh air.
