Mumbai: The much talked about book on the making of Om Shanti Om was released on Wednesday in Mumbai. For those who haven't got enough of Om Shanti Om, can now go through a book on the making of the film. Wednesday Nov 21 1:50 PM
After penning down three books on Shah Rukh Khan, writer of the book, Mushtaq Sheikh promises the readers a whole lot of filmy experiences, much more than what pleases the eyes by watching Shah Rukh on the silver screen.
“If you are a film buff then there is everything in the book that you will like. It even has tips on how to handle a pregnant director on the sets,” says Mushtaq Shiekh.
The release of the book was as starry as the release of the film. King Khan and the entire cast of the film turned up at the launch of the book and this time they were only happier that the film has done well.
“Thankfully the film has done well. Who would read the book if the film had flopped at the box office,” says the director of OSO, Farah Khan.
The book seems to have captured various moments of the making of OSO in pictures as well. “The pictures are looking really nice. There is one shot where Shah Rukh is putting the moustache. Now I will get to read what I missed even after being on the sets,” says actor, Arjun Rampal.
The latest Bollywood diva with dimples, Deepika Padukone says that there is nothing more that she could have asked for, especially after OSO’s success.
King Khan did seem a little upset with the BCCI who accused him for promoting his film through cricket. However, after the success of OSO, the book release was yet another occasion for Shah Rukh to have felt like a king in true sense of the word.
“Honestly I am a little disappointed. I don't need any other platform to promote my film except the ones that are provided to cinema,” says Shah Rukh Khan. “I may not go to watch the match again,” he added.
