Kareena Kapoor and John Abraham seem to have finally buried their differences as they are all set to come together in script-writer-turned filmmaker Rumi Jaffery's next film, yet untitled. It is supposed to be a romantic comedy and Kareena is believed to have signed the film while John has agreed in principle to do the movie.
Till a little while ago, it seemed unlikely that Kareena and John would ever work together, but the status seems to have changed. The roots of the animosity go back in time to 2001, to the catfights between Bipasha and Kareena on the sets of Ajnabee. Kareena took an obvious dislike to John and made nasty comments against him in a TV chat show. Also, when John appeared in another episode of the same show, he is believed to have said that she would chose Rani Mukherjee over Kareena. Incidentally, John and Kareena are the least of Rumi's problems. His biggest problem will be actor Salman Khan, who is a very close friend as well. The leading man of his debut directorial venture God Tussi Great Ho. Salman is not overly fond of John, and that is a well known fact. The director is believed to be quite apprehensive about Salman's reaction. Meanwhile, John has brushed aside all rumours of his rivalry with Kareena and has said that he has agreed to do the film as he has liked the script. Rumi remains tightlipped on the casting issue and is only willing to reveal that he has signed Kareena. The search for the male lead is still on, according to him. But Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd, the producers of the film have confirmed that John has been spoken to and that he has liked the script. They plan to meet up with the actor after the release of Goal and finalize the details.
