Under the supervision of Mr. Gnanchand Maroo - who heads the anti piracy team at Shemaroo Entertainment - the team of 8 people at Shemaroo went to meet D.C.P. Sanjay Sintre Saheb to discuss and take action on the gigantic piracy at Kalyan (Mumbai).The DCP provided them with protection of 8 officers namely PSI Mr. Anand Rao Patil, Mr. Missar and PI Mr. Arun Jadhav among others for this huge raid. Further Shemaroo anti-piracy team along with these officers marched towards Kalyan, Junjaru Market. Here they raided 2 shops, 1 godown and seized 70,000 DVDs / VCDs worth Rs. 1.05 crores (as per market value). It is a point to note that this is one of the biggest raids ever that Shemaroo Entertainment has conducted.
These raided stuff included new releases like OM SHANTI OM, SAAWARIYA, BHOOL BHULAIYA, BAL GANESH and many others in large quantities.
