Mumbai: Ashok Amritraj, one of the most recognizable Indian names in Hollywood, is currently busy his new film The Other End Of the Line.

Produced by his banner Hyde Park along with MGM Hollywood, the film stars Jesse Metcalfe of Desperate Housewives fame, Shriya Saran, Tara Sharma and Anupam Kher. In a career spanning 25 years, this is the first time that Amritraj is shooting in India.

"I think it's just that the talent in india is developing to such levels. I think that has brought me here more than anything else. The crew here is so professional," says Amritraj.

Based on a cross-cultural love story that begins in a call center, the film has brought actor Jesse Metcalfe's to India for the first time. And he seems to be enjoying the schedule thoroughly.

“"It's a lovely country so thrilling at every corner and the film has a long gruelling schedule but I like working here," says Metcalfe.

Amritraj may be a veteran in Hollywood by now but he still wouldn't risk making a true-blue Bollywood film for an international audience. "I think when the right script comes along I just might get around to doing it. But as for the typical Bollywood film, Shah Rukh and Karan Johar are already very good at it, I don't think I can do that," he says.

The Other End of the Line is slated for a mid-2008 release.
