Actor Anil Kapoor, fresh from the critical success of Gandhi, My Father, his first film as producer, is now believed to be toying with the idea of making a film on the life and times of the legendary Raj Kapoor.

The actor is believed to be closely studying a few scripts revolving around the lives of famous personalities. He is also believed to be in talks with a few directors for his ambitious project and the research is underway. Apparently work has already begun on the biopic. Apparently the actor intends to churn out biopics along with mainstream commercial films simultaneously. Anil, of course, is quite tightlipped about the film. All that he is ready to admit is that he has had casual discussions about the biopic on Raj Kapoor's film. Contrary to what he is saying, it seems that Anil has been working on the film and it script for the longest time. He has been greatly influenced by Raj Kapoor and that is why he is very keen on the film. He is also interested in essaying the lead role. Right now, he is very busy with the post-production of his film Shortcut starring Akshaye Khanna and Amrita Rao. But it seems that Raj Kapoor's sons, Randhir, Rishi and Rajiv also intend to make a film on their father. It remains to be seen who ultimately ends up making the film. Or we may just have two films on one of the greatest showman of Hindi cinema.
