Washington, Nov 29 (ANI): Troubled star Britney Spears' newly appointed chauffeur has quit his job because the singer is too much of a 'liability' to drive around.

According to sources, the driver resigned just days after his appointment due to the life-threatening pressures of ferrying the singer around.

The chauffeur had endured a number of near misses with paparazzi and other vehicles whilst driving the star, and feels unsafe in the job, reports Contactmusic.

The 25-year-old singer was ordered to hire a driver by ex-husband Kevin Federline's attorney earlier this month after her road skills were called into question.

Also, Spears was banned from driving after she was caught on tape running a red light with her two children in the back seat.

The unnamed man was hired to drive the 'Sometimes' hitmaker, her children and a court-ordered monitor around her. (ANI)
