Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and London's mayor Ken Livingstone witnessed the signing of an agreement between The Film and Television Producers Guild of India (FTPGI) and Film London to promote film ties at Whistling Woods International Asia's largest institute for film, television & media arts on Wednesday 21 November 2007.
The agreement was signed by Sandy Lieberson chairman of Film London and Ronnie Screwvala FTPGI president. Bollywood superstar Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and London's mayor Mr. Ken Livingstone shared their views in concern of Indian culture and importance of film education.
The Mayor said sharing his views on the popularity of Indian cinema in the UK "Very few Londoners believe me when I tell them, that 38 movies were made in London last year…"
In appreciation of Whistling Woods International, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan added "How wonderful to have this event here in this fantastic facility for which Mr. Subhash Ghai should be congratulated...this shows the progress of the Film Industry in India"
Whistling Woods International, Asia's largest institute for film, television, animation and media arts has announced its January 2008 intake for 2-year programs in Acting, Animation, Production, Cinematography, Direction, Editing, Screenwriting and Sound.
