His first film was a rage among youngsters and critics. We are referring to Chennai 600028 and its director Venkat Prabhu who is busy finalizing the script for his next film, which was earlier titled Ezhu.

This film is to be produced by Amma Creations’ T. Siva. This production house, famous for its earlier ventures like Aravinthan and Chinna Maapillai to name a few is now back into action.

This will be their fourteenth movie and the producer has entrusted Venkat Prabhu with the director’s cap. Venkat has rechristened the film as Saroja, the first line of the popular song Saroja Samaan Nikhalo… from his earlier venture Chennai 600028. This, he says, will be a woman-centric movie and will have a lot of parallel narratives converging at one particular incident. Another interesting aspect is that this movie will be devoid of song and dance sequences. Vega, a Mumbaiite, studying in Australia, makes her debut as the female lead with S.P.B. Charan, Premji Amaran, Chennai-28 Siva, Sumanth and Sampath.

Actors Jeyaram and Prakash Raj will play an important role in the film. Shakti Saravanan is in charge of cinematography while Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director. Venkat Prabhu will handle the story, screenplay, dialogs and direction and production is by S. Aruna Maheshwari. The team intends to commence shooting in Chennai and move to Mumbai and Pune and various other places. Venkat, we are expecting another great film keeping in line with your previous work.
