New Delhi: The 38th International Film Festival of India came to a close on Monday night with the screening of Spanish legend Carlos Saura’s film Fados.Monday Dec 3 11:25 PM
Eminent Bengali filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, in which the winners of the competition section of the festival were announced.
The top prize, Golden Peacock, was awarded to the Taiwanese film The Wall.
The Silver Peacock was shared by Bangladeshi director Golam Biplab for his film On The Wings Of Dreams and the Mexican film More Than Anything Else featuring child actor Julia Stonin.
The most promising director award was bagged by the Thai director Pongpat Wachirabunjong for his film Me, Myself about a gay male dancer in a cabaret who suffers amnesia after being struck by a car.
