Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om has been a stupendous hit with the children. That might perhaps explain why the character of Narad Muni in Anurag Kashyap's Hanuman Returns is shown chanting 'Om Shanti Om' and not 'Narayan Narayan' as he is wont to do in mythology.
The decision was apparently taken by the producers of the film, Percept Picture Company. The decision was apparently prompted by the success of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer. The production house rightly feels that SRK is the biggest superstar in the country and at the same time they also believe that Hanuman occupies a very important place in the Indian psyche. So it made sense for them to have a combination of both. Incidentally, SRK had been invited by the production house to be their guest at the press conference that they had recently organised but the actor could not make it as he was one of the guests at IFFI Goa. But the production house is quite keen to have SRK associated with the film in some form or the other. They intend to invite him to be a guest at the film's premiere on December 27.
