As they say, all roads lead to Rome. Invariably, all actors’ careers also lead to politics.

Actor Chiranjeevi is no exception. The megastar has decided to test the political waters in Andhra Pradesh and his new political party will be officially launched in the New Year, 2008.

Although no official announcement has been made from Chiranjeevi’s side, sources close to the actor swear that he is all geared up to launch his party.

Political analysts predict that with the kind of fan following the actor has, his party, upon formation, is enough to pose a threat to the existing two major parties – Congress and Telugu Desam Party. Chiranjeevi, in various instances, has already made it clear that if he ever started a political party it would cater to all sections of the public and not just to his community alone. It is significant to note that earlier, Vijaya Shanti, who was an active member of the BJP, launched her own political party, which did not create any ripples in Andhra’s political scenario.
