Anil Kapoor, not in the news for sometime, was last seen promoting his daughter Sonam Kapoor’s debut flick Saawariya.
Sadly, the movie didn’t fare well at the box office in spite of the grand promos that were aired across TV screens. However, it did a sea of good for its lead actors Ranbir and Sonam.
But the only person cribbing about the whole affair happens to be its director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Sonam has landed the leading role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming project Dilli 6 opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Rakeysh’s last project, Rang De Basanti was the biggest hit of 2006 and dad Anil Kapoor believes it can do to Sonam what Saaawariya couldn’t. Now, that’s what you call a father figure.
