Jackie Chan is believed to be flying down to Chennai for the music release of Himesh Reshammiya's first Tamil film, Dashaavtaram. The action hero is expected to fly down in February next year for the music launch of the film starring Kamal Haasan in ten different roles.
Apparently the producer of the film, Oscar Films' Ravichandran managed to convince Chan to do the honours as he holds the rights to release the films of Chan in India. He showed the actor some of the rushes of the film to the actor, who was floored by the southern superstar's acting ability. He was amazed at Kamal Haasan's range and the 10 different roles he plays in the film, specially the part where he plays a 92-year-old woman. Chan could not believed that Kamal is only 54 years old and has been acting since the age of five. Himesh is delighted at the news and is looking forward to the launch. The launch is being planned as a big function. Invites have already been sent out to the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and southern stars like Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi, Mammooty, Mohanlal, Vishnu Vardhan etc. Asin, who is playing the lead opposite Aamir Khan in the Ghajini remake, is the heroine of Dashaavtaram. The film also has Malika Sherawat in a negative role. It is being touted to do bigger business than the Rajnikant starrer Sivaji. Currently, 300 technicians are working around the clock at two different locations to finish the post production. The film is also being dubbed in Hindi and is going to be released together in both the languages sometime in April next year.
