Feroz Khan rarely agrees to act in a film these days. So when the producers of Welcome approached him for a role in their film, he was not sure if he should take it up or not as it would mean staying in Dubai for two straight months.

The actor felt that he would get lonely and feel friendless in the desert city so he laid down a condition. He asked the producer if he could arrange a meeting with the other actors in the film, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. The bewildered producer is believed to have agreed to do arrange a get together for the three actors. Also present at that party was the director Anees Bazmee. At the party Feroz Khan told the two actors that he would agree to do the film only if they would become his drink buddies and spend every evening of those two months in Dubai with him. It's only when Nana and Anil laughingly agreed to the condition, did the Khan sign on the dotted line. He even threatened them on the first day of the shoot, saying that he would not report for shooting if they did not send their evenings with him. According to Anil, Feroz is a very sweet man and this was his way of ensuring that they did not get lonely without their families for such a long time and, instead had a great time.
