London, Dec 11(ANI): Harry Potter author J K Rowling will be auctioning off the fairytales mentioned in the final Harry Potter novel, 'Harry potter And The Deathly Hallows,' to raise money for charity.

Rowling has hand-written and illustrated seven copies of the Tales Of Beedle The Bard that will not be published, reports the Daily Snack.

The writer hosted a reception at Sotheby's auction house in London, where one copy of the work will be auctioned on Dec 13.

The Tales Of Beedle The Bard, which included five wizarding fairytales, was left to Hermione Granger by Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, which provided clues to Harry and his friends to defeat Lord Voldemort.

The money, thus obtained will go to the Children's Voice, a charity co-founded by Rowling.

The charity campaigns for child rights across Europe - particularly Eastern Europe - where more than a million children and teenagers are growing up in institutions, often in unacceptable conditions.

The copy to be auctioned is mounted with hand-chased silver ornaments and seven moonstones and is expected to fetch between 30,000 pounds and 50,000 pounds. (ANI)
