Mumbai: Director Anurag Kashyap’s No Smoking may have been a strict no at the box office, but he is back and he is bringing somebody along with him with chubby cheeks, dimple hands and a cute little smile.

The Legend of Hanuman is back in an adorable new avtar to be friends with all the little ones.

And Hanuman is back to teach all of us how to conserve our planet because there is a bit of Om Shanti Om flavour in the film as well.

Come December 28 and children will see their favorite Hanuman returning to earth in present day scenario as a child with a mission to save mother earth, who incidentally is angry with the human race for polluting it.

"This hanuman is just like a normal child who goes to school, who has a lot of friends, steals mangoes and is set in a totally contemporary atmosphere,” says Kashyap.

So we have the Rambhakt playing pranks and pulling off some great antics to save the situation. But won't the film be incomplete without Ram, Sita and obviously Ravana?

"All the characters including Ram, Sita and Ravana in the film, but they are omnipresent and only he can see them. The evil is rahu ketu, that is global warming,” says Kashyap.

We all know that filmmaker Kashyap likes to experiment so is that why he decided to work on an animation film project?

"My daughter loves Hanuman and she always hated me because she couldn’t show her friends my films so when this project came to me I immediately took it up just for her,” says Kashyap.

Anurag's last release No Smoking will now show at the Box office. And the industry grapevine is ripe with reports saying that Kashyap has included some Om Shanti Om magic in his latest film.

So Naarad Muni instead of chanting narayan narayan would be seen chanting om shanti om. Is he trying to cash in on of the Sharukh starrer blockbuster's success?

"Actually Narad does not consider himself as a God so he is like a rockstar with a guitar singing om shanti om in the film,” says Kashyap.

So a Hanuman in shorts and a jazzed up Narad Muni seems like a recipe for a few ripples and of course, a whole lot for children to look forward to, this new year.
