Dhaam Dhoom, the film which was directed by cinematographer Jeeva had to be stalled for some time due to his untimely demise during its shoot at Russia.
After this, there indeed arose a question as to who will take on Jeeva's mantle to complete the film. After hectic parleys between cinematographer P C Sreeram and Aneez, wife of Jeeva, it was decided that the rest of the film will be directed by Jeeva's assistant director Manikandan along with associate cameraman Rajashekhar under the supervision of P C Sreeram and Anees Jeeva.
Now, major part of the shooting has been wrapped up sans a song sequence. Out of the six song tracks, five have been completed and a solo number involving hero Jeyam Ravi alone is pending. This shoot is likely to take place in Chennai on the 17th of this month with which the film will be completely wrapped up.
While talking to the media on Dhaam Dhoom and Jeeva, director Manikandan says, "As Jeeva had completed major part of the film, only his name will appear in the credits section. We miss him so much and the best way to pay tribute to his memory is to bring out the film in time which we have done and the film will be a Pongal bonanza for all of Jeeva's fans." He went on to say that it is only now that they realize his absence as his contribution was immense and it made things easier for the rest of the crew. For all those late comers, Dhaam Dhoom has Jeyam Ravi in the lead role supported by Kangana Ranaut and Lakshmi Rai.
