It seems that director Zoya Akhtar has replaced actress Tabu from her film Luck By Chance and has replaced her with Konkona Sen Sharma. It appears that Zoya was fed –up of Tabu's constant demands of making changes in the script.

According to reports, Tabu had a lot of reservations about the film's story and wanted Zoya to make changes in the script. But Zoya kept turning down her request very politely, telling her that she wanted to keep the story just as it is. And then she went ahead and replaced Tabu altogether with Konkona. She confirmed that she had signed on Konkona now to play the role which was earlier slated to be played by Tabu. Initially, Zoya had announced her plans of making the film with brother Farhan Akhtar in the lead. She had first approached Hrithik Roshan for the role but things did not work out between her and the superstar. For her leading lady, she had initially approached Madhuri Dixit. However, the deal fell through when Madhuri demanded a huge sum of money. Karisma Kapoor's name was also being thrown around. According to insiders, Luck By Chance is a take on Bollywood. The film takes a realistic look at Bollywood and the characters in the film are all denizens of Bollywood. It is not just a film about actors and actresses but also about their spot boys. The film is believed to be laced with humour as well.
