Actor Arun Vijay is currently shooting for Connect Films Media’s Vedha, produced by Vasu Bhaskar, who has also written the story and screenplay. The film is directed by R. Nithyakumar, who has learnt the craft under noted directors like K. Subash and S.J. Suryah. Sheela plays the female lead and newcomer Jerovadhan is the second hero. He is paired with another newcomer Jayamala from Malaysia. Sathya plays the villain. The rest of the cast consists of Karunas, Muthukaalai, Scissor Manohar, Seetha, Prem and others. The producer Vasu Bhaskar too acts in an important role. Contrary to the present trend, the film has an emotional climax, which the unit informs, will leave viewers in tears. In fact, the whole unit, which comprised over 300 members, was in tears at the end of the climax shoot. Vedha is filmed by two cinematographers; Vijayagopal, who has earlier done films like Love Today, and Santanio, of Dishum fame. The makers have opted for two cinematographers to differentiate the story which takes place in two different timeframes. The film is expected to provide Arun Vijay that big break which has eluded him so far. The director is confident that the role might fetch his hero an award and catapult him to the big league. Music is by Srikanth Deva, who has composed nine songs for a single film for the first time. He also makes an appearance in the ‘Vannaarapettai Pillayare’. Even the director appears in a song sequence. A song written by the director and sung by Gana Bala will be another hit like ‘Vaalameen’, the unit says. The film is expected to release by January.
