Designer Manish Malhotra has revealed that his film script for his directorial debut set for next year, will have the look of the cinema of the 1970s.
The designer says that he plans to lock his script by 2008 and then ask his showbiz friends to work in it. Manish says that he wants to make a film that he would love to watch. He says his intention is not to change the film industry. But his film will have the look of the 70s as that is the kind of cinema that he has grown up on. To go back to his designing, currently Manish is designing for Kajol in You, Me Aur Hum which is being directed by Ajay Devgan. He is also designing for Kareena Kapoor for Golmaal 2. Besides, there is also Karan Johar's untitled production starring Priyanka Chopra and Kunal Kohli's film for Yash Raj Productions starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Amisha Patel. Manish has also designed clothes for Rajnikanth in the recent blockbuster Sivaji: The Boss.
