While everybody is going ga-ga about the screen jodi of Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar, this jodi has tough competeion in Welcome itself from Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor.

Nana and Anil appear as a jodi in most scenes and this has been compared to the famous Jai-Veeru jodi of Sholay. The two actors will be lighting the screen together in Welcome, more than 19 years after they first came together in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Parinda. Their off-screen friendship is decades old and still just as warm. In fact Nana recalls that Anil would irritate him on the sets of Parinda as he was never happy with the shot and would always want to shoot again, despite it being a perfect shot. He would make Nana redo it over and over again, only to tell him in the end that the first shot was the best. Nana says that he, Anil, and Jackie Shroff still remain in touch as friends. Anil is equally vocal about his friendship with Nana and Jackie and says that he would love to work with the two of them again in a film together. Maybe we can even produce it, he thinks.
