London, Dec 24 (ANI): Alesha Dixon has credited British TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing' with saving her life.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' winner, claims to have been on the verge of suicide last Christmas, before getting the offer to star on the hit reality show.
Her suicide situation emerged after she discovered her husband, ex-So Solid Crew member MC Harvey, was cheating on her with pop pal Javine Hylton.
And days later, she was dropped by her record label.
"It was the lowest point of my life. I just kept thinking, 'What have I done to deserve this?' I didn't see the point in living," the Sun quoted Alesha, as saying.
However, now the 29-year-old singer is Britain's favourite celebrity dancer and has revealed that she owes her new life to the show.
"Look at me now. I've learned to dance, I'm happy and I believe it was meant to happen. Strictly has just given me a real zest for life. I thrive on hard work and even though my body is in pain and tired, my first choice is to get up and do something. Life is so short. We should all grasp it," she said. (ANI)
