Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is eating humble pie this season. Firstly, he is writing dialogues for a Karan Johar film. Now, it seems that he has apologized to Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan for claiming that his film, The Return of Hanuman, will beat the box office records of Om Shanti Om.
In a recent interview, Kashyap had made these tall claims. However, SRK and Farah were sporting enough to take his comments in the right spirit. Om Shanti Om has become one of the biggest commercial success in recent times, beating the record set by the Sunny Deol-Amisha Patel starrer Gaddar. However, Kashyap had confidently stated that his film would surpass all records. Sources close to the director say that he regrets his comments now. After making those comments, he sent out an apology message to both SRK and Farah, saying that it was nothing personal against them or their film. He also said that he had made the comments as he was confident about his film. Hence, Kashyap made sure that he did not rub SRK the wrong way and spoil his relations with the actor. This isn't the first time that Kashyap has made impulsive comments and then tried to set things right. He had also made comments against Karan Johar and is now working on his film. Anyway, much to Kaashyap's relief, SRK and Farah accept the apology graciously.
