Mumbai: He has turned all of 53, his daughter Sonam is a heroine, but he is in no mood to quit movies and is enjoying romancing actresses who are only a little older than Sonam. Wednesday Dec 26 1:55 AM
Anil Kapoor celebrated his birthday and raised a toast to the success of his new release Welcome. And he got candid on how he managed to look good enough for his leading ladies.
"I don't consciously try to work on my looks and appearance. I have never done that because I always go with the character. I feel people not only want to see good acting on screen, but they also want the person on the screen to look like the character," says he.
Well, that's what he has to say about his looks and matching up to his leading ladies. But what does he have to say about the fact that the rumour mills are abuzz with the news that his daughter Sonam and Ranbir Kapoor are seeing each other.
"They are childhood friends to be honest and we are family friends, so obviously they hang out together, but there is nothing of that sort," he says.
He then attempted to steer the subject away from the gossip mills and talked about his next project.
"I am making a new film called Shortcut which will release next year. It's a mainstream film and is totally different from Gandhi My Father. I am very excited about the film," says he.
