Is the Yash Raj scare showing signs of evaporating in the year 2008?Over last couple of years, not many movies have dared to release in a week before or after the weekend when a film coming from the house of Yash Raj Films is releasing, let aside taking it heads on. There may have been an exception or two but by and large films have steered away from clashing with a YRF project.
However, there may be an exception on this rule this year with a newcomer taking on one of the biggest ever projects of YRF - TASHAN, starring Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, is all set for release on 25th April '08. Harman Baweja's debut vehicle LOVE STORY 2050 had also been penciled in as the D-day long time back.
A futuristic saga, the film is the biggest and the most prestigious film by producer-director Harry Baweja who would be looking at giving a mega launch similar to the kind which papa Rakesh Roshan gave to Hrithik years back in KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI.
With Priyanka Chopra supporting Harman in his walk up the big screen on one hand and star power along with country's biggest production house as a challenge on the other, it is going to be one face off to watch out for!
