Director Anil Sharma is working on two projects simultaneously. The first is a film called Masters with the three Deols, Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra, and the second is Veer, which has been scripted by none other than Salman Khan.
According to the director, Veer is a period film with an epic feel to it. The film is set in the 1880s and the director hopes to begin shooting for it in the middle of the year. Veer is a being planned as big film and is being produced by Eros. There are a lot of details which are still being worked out. The project actually materialized some three months ago. Salman and Sharma were always keen to work with each other. It seems that Salman walked up to him one day and came up with this idea for a film. It was an idea that he has been living with for some time. They got talking and Veer was on. As for his other film, Masters, well, it took Sharma ten years to bring all the three Deols together on screen for Apne. The next film, where all three will appear together, is a romantic thriller revolving around a father and his two sons, all of who are conmen. Given that there is a blossoming script writer in Dharm paaji as well, it is quite obvious that he has had a lot of inputs to give for Masters as well. The film will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, London and perhaps the US as well. Sharma may be working on two films but he is very clear that he does not intent to shoot or release both the films together. Each film should take him around six-to eight months to complete, he feels. He is also working on a Gadar sequel but is still looking for a script which will match the intensity of the original. So someone has a very busy 2008, it seems.
