Where there is a dearth of notable releases, especially in the first quarter of 2008, Bollywood would see number of films finally releasing after being either confined in the cans for ages or being in the making for long.

Govinda may have hit gold with PARTNER but his old film CHAL CHALA CHAL would haunt him till it eventually sees a release. The film stars him alongside Rajpal Yadav with Reema Sen as the leading lady. Bobby Deol's ROSHAN sees him reuniting with his NANHE JAISALMER team of child actor Dwij Yadav and director Samir Karnik. The film has been completed quite some time back and is looking for an opportune time to release.

Same holds good for Subhash Ghai's BLACK N WHITE which sees him reuniting with Anil Kapoor years after TAAL. Completed in the middle of last year, it is said to be waiting for buyers.

On the other hand Salman Khan's GOD TUSSI GREAT HO is taking ages to reach the finishing lines. Based on BRUCE ALMIGHTY, the film boasts of an enviable star cast of Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra and would set the cash registers ringing whenever it is released.

One is not sure if HUMSEY HAI JAHAAN would meet with the same response though. Earlier titled HUM LAAKH CHUPAYE PYAAR MAGAR, the film marks the debut of Mashhoor Amrohi in multiple roles of an actor, producer, director and writer. Supposed to be released in the middle of last year, the film has been in the waiting for long.

Anant Mahadevan's ANAMIKA was supposed to be released in 2007 as well but twin failure of director Anant Mahadevan's VICTORIA NO. 203 and AGGAR resulted in delay in film's release plans. This Dino Morea-Koena Mitra-Minisha Lamba-Aarti Chabbaria love story cum thriller based on REBECCA is expected to arrive in first quarter of 2008.

DO AUR DO PAANCH, a thriller which mostly stars newcomers in lead, has Salman Khan in special appearance as the film's USP but in spite of that has been lying in cans for quite some time. On the other hand EK-THE POWER OF ONE has been plain unfortunate to be stuck due to Bobby's continued bad box office run in 2007. A remake of Telugu hit ATHADU, the film brings together a unique combination of Bobby Deol and Nana Patekar.
