New Delhi: A man, a glass house and a 360 hour target. Meet, or rather, observe Harish Khanna.Saturday Jan 5 8:25 PM
A graduate of National School of drama, Harish has voluntarily ensconced in his very public, little private space, in what can be termed as reality drama meets theatre.
NSD Professor, Robin Das says, "Theatre is defining itself. There's a time limit, a space and an audience."
And this is one meticulous setup - from Harish's personal wardrobe, to the cushions on the bed , everything has been pre-planned and arranged deliberately and he has all the comforts of the world including a geyser, apart from his laptop and mobile phone.
The glass around the bathroom is frosted and however gimmicky the stunt, it's getting a mixed reaction from the audience.
People say that there is more activity whenever there's audience around, that Harish is conscious of the audience. Others are enjoying the spectacle, while still others are concerned and say they hope he does not get claustrophobic.
To find out if it really gets claustrophobic or not, log onto www.intheglasshouse.com to spend some time in there yourself on January 19 and 20, when the installation becomes interactive and you can put yourself on exhibit for two hours.
