The mystery surrounding Shankar's Robot continues to thicken. Initially, the film was being planned with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. Due to creative differences, SRK, walked out of the film and one heard that Aamir Khan was in it.

But now it seems, Southern superstar Rajnikant is doing the film. Well the plot seems to thicken, as we said. It seems that just as Shankar was happy that he had managed to rope in Rajni, the ultimate Boss, it seems the superstar has turned down the offer as well. Now one hears that the makers have finally found a replacement for this much-hyped and talked about film. The last was that Southern superstar Ajith is being considered for the role. If sources are to be believed, then it is very likely that Ajith may finally play the lead in the film. Everything about the film has now assumed hush-hush status, what with actors walking in and walking out of the project. The makers would now like to keep it quite till they make an official announcement.
