Washington, Jan 9 (ANI): Britney Spears' cousin and former assistant Alli Sims has denied reports she's at loggerheads with the troubled singer.

Simms also dismissed reports that her reality show had been cancelled and her trip to New York over the weekend - when Spears was hospitalised - was not an affront to their relationship.

A source told Life and Style that while the 'Toxic' hitmaker was in hospital, Sims promoting herself in New York City.

"While Britney was being hospitalised in LA, Alli, her supposed best friend, was self-promoting in NYC," Us magazine quoted the source, as telling Life and Style.

However, Sims denied the reports.

"These claims are ridiculous. I had plans for a girls weekend, and my friends had already flown into town to meet up with me. Yes, I continued with my plans that included going to dinner and a club. How was I to predict what would happen the weekend I was gone?" Sims said.

"As far as having a falling out with anyone, that is simply not true. Love Britney, and care way more about her well-being than any of these strangers making these claims," she added.

Sims also added that her proposed reality show has not been scrapped, as reports had previously claimed, because it's still in the discussion stage.

Sims said: "How can it be pulled when it was never beyond discussion and experimental stages?" (ANI)
