The composer of films like SATYA, MAST, JUNGLE, PYAAR TUNE KYA KIYA, COMPANY and DUM disappeared from the Bollywood soundtrack scene after his last release SAMAY - WHEN TIME STRIKES. More than 4 years after the release of the film, Chowta is now returning with a vengeance.In order to define a different face to the Indian music industry scene, he is formulating a band which would be creating a brand name for itself and perform shows not just nationally but internationally.
"The idea is to think innovative", reveals Chowta, "Indian music industry is at a stage where a change is imperative. I have taken this initiative on myself to create a band of fresh blood who are waiting out there in the wings to be grabbed and given an opportunity. I am now also running a production company with complete control on proceedings and though that I am striving to back these people up who are willing and raring to go."
"VIVA girl Mahua is a talent that the industry has ignored even after all these years", exclaims Chowta, "She is quite good though, as can be seen from my composition 'Missing Sunday' in SUNDAY. She has done extremely well there. These people deserve to be nurtured."
"Hopefully the band I create would do something out of the box and make a name for itself all over. A success in that direction would only prompt better things to come in future. I am keeping my fingers crossed."
