Mumbai: Jab We Met got everyone wondering why did they ever think that the Shahid-Kareena pair did not have any chemistry. The film got humour and love back in fashion and now after having a great run at the box-office, Jab We Met is all set to acquire some Southern flavour.

“This film’s script has the potential to get adapted to various other languages. The storyline is universal, so we are thinking of remaking it in all the four Southern languages taking the local stars and using the local humour,” CEO of Moser Baer Entertainment Harish Dayani said.

And director Imitiaz Ali is all ready to give some serious advice to his Southern counterparts on how to replicate the Jab We Met formula right. He also has some suggestions for who could make a great cast for the Tamil version.

"Shreya, she has that spark. She kind of jumps out of the skin when she talks and for the boy’s part, since I know Madhavan, I think he will be suitable,” Ali said.

So we decided to take the matter to the people in Chennai and here are some of the pairs that they came up with: Surya and Shreya, Vivek and Trisha, Surya and Asin and the list was endless.

While the south takes its time to make up its mind, the film's director has a better idea to offer.

"Well imagine that it’s a Bhojpuri girl traveling in a train and she meets a Patna ka babu. She could be traveling in a streamer over the Ganga also. It would be awesome, especially the scenes where she is alone in a station,” an excited Ali said with a glint in his eyes.

Of course with a such a fun storyline, it might just work even in Bhojpuri!
