Rani Mukherjee is one Bollywood actress who went through a lean patch last year with her Ta Ra Rum Pum, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Saawariya all biting the dust at the box office.

Till sometime ago she was considered the reigning queen at the box office; call it a sad turn of fate or bad choice of scripts, she isn’t one who’d let failures bog her down and is bent on trying out new roles come what may!

After playing a sex worker in her last two films – LCMD and Saawariya – she is now all set for a complete role reversal of sorts and will be seen in Kunal Kohli’s next film playing an Angel to Saif’s kids. Incidentally, Saif is playing a business executive and father of three children.

Kunal Kohli’s earlier film Hum Tum showcased this pair’s chemistry, which was well received by the audience. The actress when questioned about this u-turn in roles said it was purely for want of change and that she had no qualms over playing the role of a prostitute, which she had done in almost three of her films – The Rising, LCMD and Saawariya.
