Washington, Jan 12 (ANI): O.J. Simpson is going back to jail, after allegedly violating his bail conditions.

The fallen football star will be spending the weekend in a Las Vegas jail, while awaiting a court hearing on the matter on Jan 16, at the orders of Clark County District Attorney David Roger.

According to a clerk for District Court Judge Jackie Glass, Roger was filing a motion to revoke Simpson's bail, but the football star allegedly called one of his co-defendants in the robbery case against his bail conditions, reports People.

Simpson, identifying himself as "Miguel," telephoned Clarence "CJ" Stewart on November 16 and expressed frustration with Stewart's testimony at a previous hearing, said court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer.

Simpson, who was behind bars on 11 felonies, was released on bail after he consented to hand over his passport and have no contact with any involved in the case.

However, the documents claimed that he tried contacting Stewart via his bail bondsman on Nov. 16 last year.

According to court documents: "(Simpson) attempted to dissuade a (Clarence Stewart) from testifying and cooperating with law enforcement."

Meanwhile, a rep of the accused duo denied revealing anything saying, "We have nothing to say at this time."

The incident happened just two days after a Las Vegas judge ruled that Simpson, Stewart and another co-defendant should stand trial on 12 charges, including kidnapping and robbery.

Simpson, who along with the other two men is scheduled to stand trial on April 7, has maintained that he was retrieving items that belonged to him. (ANI)
