Mumbai: PETA's eighth anniversary in India was marked by presence of Bollywood star John Abraham taking up a noble cause and a delicious egg less cake to celebrate the event.Sunday Jan 13 12:01 AM
“Even if you want to slaughter animals, let them be in humane conditions till they die,” says John Abraham.
This has actually been a big part of PETA's efforts to make life for animals a little less cruel. John Abraham, Ravina Tandon designer Hemant Trivedi, Anu Mallik, Ravi Kishen and even Aditya Pancholi came out to mark the eighth anniversary of the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals in India.
Over the years many faces in India have been associated with PETA. Shilpa snarled, John bared some, Malaika pouted and Mahima played an angel and even the otherwise bad man came out at some point to support the cause.
“If all this ‘save animals’ talk seems too preachy, then the sight of dying animals, abandoned carcasses, helplessly locked, pulled, dragged and beaten to death might just make you want to reach out and help,” says Raveena Tandon.
The help at this event came in the form of John Abraham who decided to take it upon himself to get PETA the moolah it needs.
