Actress Amisha Patel and director Vikram Bhatt have parted ways. According to sources close to the actress, the five-year-old much publicized relationship ended a month back with the actress moving out of Vikram's Andheri pad. Amisha is now staying with a friend.

The rumours say that the serpent in the Amisha-Vikram love story is Kanav Puri, a London based businessman. He was spotted with the actress on many occasions. Vikram had then rubbished rumours of Amisha being involved with anyone else. He alleged that people were tryin g to create a rift between them. Amisha too went on to say that the couple believes in giving each other space. Whenever he was quizzed about their marriage plans, Vikram had always maintained that there was really no need for them to tie the knot to prove that they are together. He also maintained that it would be cruel of him to expect Amisha to settle for marriage at a time when she had a career to think of. Sources close to the actress reveal that Amisha has been blaming Vikram for her plummeting career. She has just signed her first Yash Raj film to be directed by Kunal Kohli. It will see her sharing screen space with Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Rishi Kapoor. The actress wants to now concentrate on her career and new relationship.
